 Kisan credit Card 

The scheme is launched in the year of 1998 made by the National bank for agriculture and rural development. The scheme is come with the purpose of provide credit facility to the farmer. The main purpose of the scheme is to provide to provide financial facility to the farmer for maintain the farming activity. 

The scheme is helpful for the farmer to buy the seed ,pesticide and fertilizer. The scheme will be supported  by the small finance bank  and commercial bank.The scheme is covered the post harvesting spending ,usage requirement and agricultural activity.

Objective of  Kisan credit Card 

1. To provide short term credit facility to farmer for cultivation of the crop and post harvest spending.

2.usage requirement of farmer household.

3. To provide working capital to the farmer for maintenance of farm.

Eligibility criteria of  Kisan credit Card 

1.The farmer have own farm.

2.Tenant farmer and share croppers.

3.Self Health Group  and tenant farmer.

4. Fish farmer and JLG's etc.

5.Poultry farmers and those have the their own sheep, goat rabbit, pig etc.

6. Dairy farmer and women group.

Feature of the Kisan credit Card 

1.The 10% of limit towards the post harvest, usage requirement.

2.20% of limit for the maintenance of the farm.

3.10% crop loan to the farmer.

4.No margin.

5.Up to 3 lakh no processing fee required.

6.Incentive is available for  prompt repayment as per the government of India and  state government.

7.Simple process of documentation i. e. one time documentation.

8.The farmer can use Kisan Credit card through ATM, BC point etc.

9.The validity of the card is 5 year. 


Security of the kisan credit card

1. Up to 1.60 lakh :Hypothecation of crop

2.Up to 3 lakh: Hypothecation of crop
