Government scheme in India : UDAN

 Every year government launches various schemes for the social and economic welfare of the Indian citizen. The government introduced the scheme for development with the help of various ministries. The main purpose of launching a scheme is the development of citizens but it will be different from the scheme-wise. sometimes it may be for senior citizens, children, women, health, education, etc. There are mainly three types of schemes i.e. central sector scheme, centrally sponsored, and state scheme, etc. 

Here we are discussing the government scheme in India.

1. UDAN :Ude Desh Ka Aam Nagrik  





It is a central sector scheme launched by the ministry of civil aviation(India). The duration of the scheme is 10 years. There are 4 phases of the scheme that is completed till today.


 Feature of the UDAN scheme

1. Connect unserved areas to underserved areas of the country with the airport.

2. Economic development of the remote area of the country. 


The objective of the UDAN scheme

1. To connect small and medium cities to big cities by using air services. 

2. Affordable price for every citizen of India.

3. Increase the economic condition of the country which is help to increase the infrastructure of the country and create job opportunities for the youngster.

4.220 airports should be connected 1000 route connectivity to the unconnected area of the country by 2022.


Component of the UDAN scheme

1. To improve the quality of existing airports

2. Introduce a new airport for economic development.

1. Covide-19 pandemic

2. lack of interest of the citizen.

3. slow growth of infrastructure.
