Pradhan Mantri Awaas yojana
This flagship scheme was launched by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs. The purpose of this scheme is to house for all. It is divided into two categories i.e. Rural and Urban. This scheme provides a place from where the citizen gets the benefit of this scheme. The sharing price of the center and state is 60:40 for the plain area and 90:10 for the northeastern and hilly states respectively.
This scheme is implemented by the ministry of housing and urban affairs. This scheme is targeted to house for all by 2022.
Feature of Pradhan Mantri awaas yojana- urban
1. it is targeted to houses for all including the slum area.
2. The area covered the area like statutory town, special development authority, industrial development authority, notified planning area, etc.
3. All houses under PMAY -U include basic facilities such as a kitchen, electricity, water supply, and toilet. etc.
4. For the purpose of women's empowerment they provide ownership of houses is in the name of a female or a joint name.
5. The first preference will be given to single women, transgenders, SC, ST, OBC, minorities, weaker sections of the society.
Pradhan Mantri awaas yojana- Rural
This comes under the ministry of Rural development.
Aim of Pradhan Mantri awaas yojana- Rural
1. To provide the pucca house for rural families.
2. Some family from rural areas are homeless or have kutcha house they will get the pucca house on a priority basis.
The beneficiary of Pradhan Mantri awaas yojana- Rural
1. Those are belongs to SC/ST, free bounded labor, widows, ex- servicemen etc.
Selection of Beneficiary
the selection process of the beneficiary is depend on the socio-economic caste census , geo-tagging, and gram Sabha.
Feature of Pradhan Mantri awaas yojana- Rural
1. The size of the 20 sq. mt with hygienic kitchen space.
2. It will cover the LPG gas connection, electricity connection, and piped drinking water.
3. Toilet facility must be at home.
4. The cost of this project is 1.20 lakh for the plain area and 1.30 for the hilly area.
