On the occasion of national panchayat day (24 April) the Union Ministry of Rural Development and Panchayat Raj launched the SVAMITVA (Survey of village and mapping with Improvised Technology in Rural Area) with the help of the ministry of panchayat raj, state Panchayati raj department, state revenue department and survey of India. It is a central sector scheme.

currently, India has more than 600000 villages. The proper management of gram panchayat is most important for the economic development of the country. The government planning to the good development of the villages they launch SVAMITVA scheme.  





The objective of SVAMITVA scheme


1. The main objective of the scheme is to property validation solutions in rural areas. 

2. The mapping of the land is done by continuously operating reference stations and drone technology. 

3. The mapping will be done by Phase wise of country.


The benefit of the SVAMITVA scheme


1. Easy to collect the land revenue and panning of property in the rural area. 

2. The scheme is help to create a better quality of management and development plan. 

3. The gram panchayat can properly management for the economic development of the village.


Significance of SVAMITVA scheme


1. The set limit for the inhabited area of the village by using drone technology.

2. It will help to Record of Rights rural households. 

3. To facilitate the monetary value of property to the household. 


The limitation of the SVAMITVA scheme

it is deal with only six states of the country such as Maharashtra, Karnataka, Haryana, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, and Madhya Pradesh.
